Tbilisi with children
Tbilisi can work well for families, especially those who combine parks, cable cars, easy sightseeing, relaxed meals and shorter walking blocks. The main practical challenges are hills, uneven sidewalks, stairs in historic areas and inconsistent availability of child seats in taxis. Families should plan by neighborhood rather than assuming every short map distance will be easy with young children.
Babies
Traveling with a baby is manageable, but families should expect that changing facilities are not consistently available everywhere. Larger shopping centers, newer restaurants and modern hotels are more likely to have suitable facilities. Carry a compact changing kit and avoid relying on every café or attraction to provide a changing table.
Toddlers
Toddlers often enjoy parks, cable cars, fountains and open pedestrian areas, but Old Tbilisi can be difficult because of steps, cobblestones and steep streets. Build in regular breaks and avoid planning an entire day around walking-intensive historic districts.

Teenagers may enjoy viewpoints, cable cars, cafés, modern neighborhoods, markets, photography spots and active day trips. Giving them some choice between cultural and more social or visual experiences usually works better than a fully museum-focused itinerary.
Strollers
Strollers are practical in flatter and newer parts of the city but can be difficult in steep sections of Old Tbilisi, Sololaki and Mtatsminda. A lightweight stroller with good wheels is preferable to a heavy travel system. Check walking routes in advance and be prepared to use taxis for steep connections.
Car seats
Do not assume Bolt, Yandex Go or a regular street taxi will automatically provide a child seat. Families who require a specific infant, toddler or booster seat should arrange transport in advance and confirm the exact seat type before the ride.
Changing facilities
Changing facilities are more dependable in larger shopping centers, modern hotels and some newer restaurants than in older small venues. Families with babies should carry their own changing supplies and allow extra time between activities.
